Multi-scale Simulation for Materials Design with J-OCTA

3 seminars are held by JSOL Corporation about multi-scale simulation technologies for materials design. J-OCTA is the integrated simulation system for soft materials. J-OCTA includes modeling tools and simulation engines to perform multi-scale simulation from molecular to continuum model.
Lately, not only materials but also mechanical and electronics industries are using simulation technologies at atomistic or molecular level. J-OCTA is widely used by over 100 companies, including automotive, aerospace, electronics and chemical industries. This software uses technologies developed as national project in Japan.
In seminars, basic technologies and industrial case studies of J-OCTA are introduced for CAE engineers

The full presentations are not available for this workshop.

Part One - General introduction of J-OCTA and case studies

The first part of the seminar is focusing on general introduction of J-OCTA and typical case studies. You can grasp the whole picture of multi-scale simulation technologies from molecular to macroscopic level.

1.Overview of J-OCTA and multi-scale simulation
2. Modeling functions and simulation engines
3. Typical case studies

Part Two - Multi-scale simulation of composite materials with J-OCTA

The second part of the seminar is focusing on the simulation of composite-materials with J-OCTA. How to apply the multi-scale simulation technologies to composite materials is discussed.

1. Overview of J-OCTA related with composite materials
2. Basics of related simulation engines
3. Typical case studies

Part Three - Latest topics and case studies of J-OCTA

The third part of the seminar is focusing on the latest and advanced topics and case studies of J-OCTA. Trend of industrial users and technologies, e.g. Machine Learning (Informatics), is discussed.

1. Overview of the surrounding trend of J-OCTA
2. Latest technologies and case studies, including Machine Learning
